Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2019 Coachmen Mirada Motorhome

Rob.: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 hanging style bike rack on our 2019 coach from a Marauder motor home. Now being able to take your bikes with you with your motor home is going to be really nice because we will take our motor home to the campsite and of course we want to be able to take our bikes with us so we can hit the trails and have some fun with our friends and family.Well the problem comes in is when you start looking at bike racks. A lot of them on the market are not approved to be put on the back of a motor home and this is because there's a lot of stress that goes on back here because it's so far away from the axle and the manufacturers don't want all that bouncing going on with the rack. But our Thule Hitching Post Pro motor home approved so we have no problem putting it on the back of our motor home and we can rest assured that our bikes are going to be safe and secure so we can take them with us to hit the trail. Now our Hitching Post Pro can hold up to four bikes and each bike is going to be held on by three points of contact, two on the cross tube and then one on the vertical support. The one on the vertical support is going to act as an anti-sway to prevent too much movement back and forth preventing that bike to bike contact. But we'll go ahead and pull our bike off so we can get a closer look. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2006 Coachmen Chaparral Fifth Wheel

Today on our 2006 Coachman Chaparral Fifth Wheel Trailer, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Swagman Dispatch Platform Style Two Bike Rack for RVs. That's part number S64684. It's specifically designed for RVs in that it has limited moving parts so it's going to be a lot more stable here at the rear of your RV. It secures our bikes in three locations. We've got this frame hook going over our top two, putting down-pressure into our front and rear cradles, and then we've got wheel straps. Let's go ahead and take our bike off. We'll start by undoing the wheel straps first, pressing on the tab, and then guide that strap out. more
